“KYIV GLOBAL SUMMIT – is an effective platform initiated by women of Ukraine to strengthen women’s leadership, increase the role of women in socio-political life and find new ideas and solutions to build an inclusive, peaceful, secure and sustainable world.
The annual Kyiv Global Summit “Woman. Trust. Peace” took place on October 5 in Kyiv. It focused on empowering women, building an inclusive society, achieving peace and a post-pandemic future. The event was organized by the National Platform “Women for Peace” and the Inter-factional parliamentary association “Women. Peace. Security”. It was attended by over 900 people from Ukraine and abroad.
Speakers at the Kyiv Global Summit-2021 included Germaine Eglantina, Chair of the Subcommittee on Gender Equality of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, former President of Malta, Stan Nyorlov, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine, Iryna Venediktova, Prosecutor General, experts, experts, opinion leaders.
Since 2018, more than 120 top speakers and 3,500 participants from around the world have taken part in KYIV GLOBAL SUMMIT events. Among them are politicians, government officials, members of the European Parliament and national parliaments, people’s deputies of Ukraine, diplomats, heads of international organizations, mayors and deputies of local councils, opinion leaders, human rights activists, and experts. “
